The Mixed Martial Art - Kudo has been practiced by over 150,000 people in over 50 countries. World competition events have seen spectator numbers similar to that of popular professional sports. Originated in Japan, Kudo has been dominated by Eastern European Fighters in recent years. The amateur sport has proven to be a dependable breeding ground for future professional MMA fighters in Eastern Europe and Japan.

Founded in 1981 by Takashi Azuma (1977 World Full Contact Karate Champion) is on the fast track to becoming an Olympic Event! Kudo is not just a mixture of Boxing, Karate, Jiu-jitsu, Sambo, Judo, etc. Kudo is a complete Martial Art (Budo).

Many of today’s MMA fighters are compartmentalized in their training and subsequently fight in a compartmentalized fashion. When striking with their hands, they train and fight like boxers. When using their legs, they fight and train like a Karate practitioner and when on the ground they are Jiu-jitsu players - Judo and Sambo for throws and so on. Kudo has fused time-tested techniques and modified them to create a Martial Art where the best strategies and techniques for striking, grappling, ground fighting and throwing are synthesized and perfected to build fighters that fight with one mind.
